Charlie's Grind & Grill reviews, American in Greenhills

I expected so much from Charlie's because I've been hearing/reading a lot about how amazing their burgers are. In fact, one of the pickiest eaters I know often frequent the place! No doubt about it, the burgers here are quite good, but for me they're not the best. Their patties are flavorful, the burger variants are bold, but everything boils down to personal preference. I did enjoy the 4 burgers we tasted, including the basic Angus cheeseburger, 5-cheese, foie gras, and Sloppy Joe - I don't know which one's my favorite! The real stars, however, are the FRIES! Made with Idaho potatoes, they're extremely flavorful and who would have thought to pair them with grilled chicken liver? I am so not a huge fan of liver, but I'd definitely go back to Charlie's for their dirty fries or black truffle fries! Oh, and I also love their take on wings - reverse buffalo! I especially enjoyed dipping the bleu cheese-drenched wings into the buffalo dip. Yum!
