Choosing a restaurant or a place to eat in along Maginhawa may prove a little too challenging for some. There's a gazillion of different cuisines and loads of other restaurants and food stores to choose from. We came by this little restaurant in Maginhawa by accident, we were too exhausted and hungry to take another step so we decided to go to the nearest establishment: Fat Cousins'
Ambience: We went there in the evening and the place was okay. It was homey but a little cramped inside.
Service: I would have given a five if the staff who assisted us smiled. She was polite and she served us well, however; i got this feeling that she's too tired and already wants to go home (i can't blame her though, the place was packed).
Food: We ordered their Australian T-bone Steak and their Home Style Roast Beef. We asked for medium rare and we got medium rare. Both the roast beef and t-bone steak were very tender and the gravy was fantastic! A touch of buttered corn and carrots + mashed potatoes completed the whole steak experience.
Price: Fat Cousin's main selling point would be the unlimited rice and drinks included in their meals! For as low as 129php, you will be able to indulge yourself with a humongous Hungarian Sausage, heaps of newly steamed rice and refillable + interchangeable refreshments.
Overall: Fat Cousins' may not be the best steak house around, but it certainly did not disappoint. I believe that customers must AT LEAST get what they paid for, this little steak house in a sea of restaurants certainly delivered!
If you are in the area, take time to visit Fat Cousins'. Easily one of the most affordable steak houses around!
