Friuli Trattoria
Pizza Restaurants   Teacher's Village, Quezon City
4.0
Friuli Tratorria happens to be one of those places that’s guaranteed to be packed on weekdays and especially weekends, and that’s for good reason. The trattoria is a checkered-tablecloth casual restaurant that serves Italian food in big portions with non-exorbitant price tags, which may be why college students and yuppies frequent it so often. Speaking of what to order after, Friuli’s Pesto Pasta is worth mentioning. At P150, the serving is good enough for two, and if that isn’t enough, you can also try their Mozzarella Sticks (P145) and Toasted Ravioli (P140). If you’re staying over for coffee and dessert, Friuli’s got cheesecakes and a variety of coffee drinks (affogato, latte, espresso, and cappuccino) that can keep you there until closing time.

Good pizza and pasta. But what I like most about this restaurant is that it is budget-friendly. You can order pasta for P150 (good for 2) and a standard pizza for P185+ (good for 2-3) !

Okay, what I may say might be biased because I can't resist good Italian food, but I am never wrong when I say good Italian food. :D Maginhawa Street provides a plethora of food choices, from the pang-masa favorite, Tapsilog to a bit more foreign like Asian, Arabic, and-- praise the food gods!-- Italian! It is easy to get overwhelmed and ending up at a more familiar restaurant. If you're new to Maginhawa, I definitely recommend Friuli Trattoria. If you're a resident foodie, I also recommend you to come drop by this place. For a reasonable price just right for students, which compromises most of the people you'll find along this street, you can get pizza (PHP 200~300, good for 2 if you're getting pasta/snacks) and pasta (around PHP 150, good for 2 if you're getting pizza/snacks too), and finger-food snacks like Mozzarella Sticks. Their pizza has the right amount of cheese, herbs, and toppings; the pasta is delicious, you can really taste either the creamy sauce of Carbonara or the tanginess of tomato sauce.

Not a good place to spend too much time at, though, since it always feels like a busy place. Also not recommended to drop by during peak hours. A good time will be past 8PM or before the dinner rush, so you get better service.
